Spanish Guinea, officially the "Territorios EspaƱoles del Golfo de Guinea" was a Spanish colony on the coast of Africa in the Gulf of Guinea. In 1968, it became independent as the country of Equatorial Guinea.

In 1960, the two provinces of Spanish Guinea, Fernando Po and Rio Muni, began issuing their own stamps.
